HOW TO HANDLE EXAM NERVES
If suffering from exam nerves or test anxiety, the following symptoms are well recognised: shaking hands, sweating, unable to think clearly, eating too much or not enough, mind blanking, stomach or headache, being scared of making mistakes, feeling inferior to your peers and visualizing failing the exam.
Within our seminars and advice sessions, we always start with analysing the present situation. We then get to the bottom of the causes for the individual exam nerves. While doing so, our clients learn interesting facts about different types and styles of learning, relaxation techniques and mental training. With practical examples we show how others have learned to manage or eliminate their test anxiety.
Together with our clients we develop mental training, which is specifically tailored to their individual needs, which they are able to apply independently. This way learning is enjoyable again – exams or tests are no longer a cause of fear anymore, but a mastered challenge.
